ski races in Vail

Today our  class made  Shepherds  pie  and  salad  for  lunch. We took our  lunch  on  the bus with us  to  Vail.   While we  where  their  we  watched  the  Ski Races.  After  we  watched the  races for while we then  ate  our  lunch  in the Golden Peak lodge.  We stopped  at  Starbucks  and  had hot  chocolate  before   heading  back to  school.

Thanksgiving shopping

Today, our class  went  to City Market in Avon to  buy  grocries for our class Thanksgiving dinner.  We bought  turkey, potatoes ,  pie, veggies,  stuffing, cresent rolls, and  whipped cream. We are  going  to make  the dinner next friday and it should taste really good

Halloween Party

Today we went to the Senior Center  in Minturn to celebrate Halloween party. we baked two brownies with sprinkles. we dressed up. I wore the costume of Duck Dynasty: the beard, headband, camo and  pants. I helped serving lunch, then I wash  dishes. I lots of fun  and I enjoyed the party. we took lots of spooky pictures.

Today celebration of Bonnie's birthday and Kathy's bon voyage

Today we make breakfast and  invited two guest: Bonnie and Kathy. Bonnie was  invited for a reason of her birthday and  Kathy because she is leaving soon of Australia.  We prepared breakfast burrito and waffles with strawberries and  whipped cream.
after noon  we spend  in Avon Rec Center. I went down the slide and swam.  Tim showed us how to do the butterfly in the water. I really enjoyed my day!

Today we went to the Blue Moose Pizza in Vail  with my classmates with the Transition class.  we went to  the ski Museum in Vail we went to the Vail the Library we walk to the blue moose pizza in Vail in  Lionhead after the Library we walk went to the Bus Shelter Waiting for the Bus  We walk  from the village  the Vail  in Lion head  we gave the The waiter tip at the end we had sodas we look at the menu  and Veronica help me  looked at  the  menu with me I had fun  I had a Great time it was  fun at Blue Moose Pizza  In Vail and Juan pick us up from Red Canyon High school drop us  off  Transportation Center In Vail

on Wednesday the 2nd of October I helped at Vss. seniors gather at  the ski  school each Wednesday and Friday.  I help  with  the  yoga class and hand out  the lunch to everyone. while everyone is eating I'm eating too. Then  When around  Their  done  with lunch I walk  around  the room to gather  the  plates  to put   to  in  the sink  to wash them off The Firemen Where There to help  to help  too  some  of the names of the seniors  Myrika  Flo  Francis Maria Erna  Iva Lynn Elmer  Roy Paul and Bev Lorranie

the food bank

Today, I volunteered with the Food Bank of the Rockies at the Edwards Interfaith Church.  Christian and I helped set up each  table that had many different kinds of food. The truck delivered the food and all of the volunteers worked together. When the familes came  throught the line I handed them a bag of  M&M's. and a box of crackers. Volunteers helped take  the  idems to each family's cars.

Animal shelter

Today; September 30th, 2013 we went to  the Animal  Shelter  in Eagle and we played  with cats and the dogs. The cats names  were  Stewie,   Beckham and  Count.   Billy was a dog that we meet last week, he had was adopted this weekend. I will miss Billy as he was my favorite dog at the shelter.  I played with Ollie, a male Asabsh he was a pretty dog.  

Blogging CPR/ AED

Today we learn how to perform CPR/ AED and  we all in Transitions received our certifications. We also learned how to do  compressions on dogs.  I enjoyed the class, Lynn was very nice.  Jaquelin, on Friday at  Red Canyon High School  taught us CPR. We learned  how to  use  the  AED on the  Starting Heart's Bus. A Chest Compression is when performing  CPR you use  both arms  and  hands to  push  on  chest  and this makes the  blood  move  out  of the  heart and on too to the rest of the body. It is  important because someone might need my help someday. I may save a life with what  I have learned. What I like  the  most  about  the training is I  can  now  help someone if they have Cardiac Arrest.  I had fun  and  a great  time on  the Starting Hearts Bus.

The Aminal Shelter

Yesterday I went to the  Animal shelter. We gave the  cats love  and played with them. I also played with Kane,  he is a one year old pitbull. Another dog at the shelter was named Willow. I am  glad I went,  I had a great time at the  Aminal shelter .

the Seniors Center

Today went and helped the seniors citizens at  Vail Snowboard academy   I set up chairs for the yoga class and the teacher's name was Tracy. I helped serve lunch and clean up the dishes.     It was  Cathy and Suzanna's birthday so we had a cake and sang happy birthday to them.

The District office

Today, I worked  at The District Office,  I shredded  paper and  I work independently.  I worked really hard. We got picked up at 11:45 then we headed  to Taco  Bell  in Eagle  to have our lunch.  We looked at the meun  at  Taco Bell,  I had a quesadilla and a  hard shell taco.  I was glad to have lunch with my friends today. 

Gypsum Creek Middle School

Yesterday we went to Gypsum Creek Middle School. We helped the students in Mrs. Schroeder class. I read little history of ice cream. I read step by step directions to the class. Sam and Brandon walked around the 6th grade pod to invite the cognitive needs students to the ice cream party.  Christian and I handout the plates and spoons. We told the there is 2 kinds of ice cream: chocolate and vanilla.

Today We went  to Homestakepeak School  We helped  seperating  the flyers  to each teachers  in the  buliding     we compelted  two  sets   of  flyers   in the  teachers  mail box.

Brush Creek pavillion park in Eagle

Today We  went  to The Brush  Creek pavillion  in Eagle  We took the  Eco  Bus  to Eagle  to the  park. At the  park  we  played  baseball  we made  the sandwich for our picnic.  The Eco Bus dropped us  off  at the  Brush  Creek pavillion  in Eagle.  We arrived  at  the  park  at  11:00.  We played catch  with the baseball.   It   was a  blast.   Today we had    a  great time at the Brush Creek pavillion park in Eagle.  We ate our lunch at  the  table.    We hit the baseball   on the tee  with the  baseball bat .  We took   turns  hitting   I lined  the ball  on the tee  with the baseball bat.

Eagle Vail Community Garden

Today I went to the Eagle- Vail Commuity Garden .  Christan and I planted different  seeds.  I planted  carrots, beets, radishes, and chard. We did not have to water beacuse the  dirt was kind of  wet from yestrdays rain and  it is supposed to rain tomrrow. In 10  days our seedlings will emerge from the soil.  What I liked  most about today was the sun coming out. I got warm. I am looking forward  to summer and  making  a salad with  the things from the garden.

jade's rockies game

On June 1st I am going  to the rockies game  in Denver. The Rockies play the Dodgers. The   1 go to 1 game  a year. someday I Whould Like  to go watch more  then one a year. Everytime i see  the  Rockies  play my  mom and  I sit  in the  same  section, right behind  The  rockies dougout. i  really  enjoy  sitting  there.

Getting donations for Small Champions

Yesterday I went to The Riverwalk in Edwards and I worked to get donations for The Small Champions golf  tournament.  I went  around to the local business  and  I asked  The  storekeepers for donations.  I had good luck getting some gift certificates.  I got a gift  certificate from Woody's and The Main Street Grille. We got a phone call  from The Bookworm  they have  a gift bag ready to pick up. 

The district office

Today I went the District office  I traveled on ECO. When I got off of the bus I went to the Exceptional Student Services Office.  Ms. Esposito saw me and told me she had something for me. She gave me a Green Bay Packers shirt signed by Mason Crosby. Mason Crosby  Is the kicker for the Green. Packers  I took the paper from the ESS  office to the District Office to be shredded.
We got done shredding  we clean up. We took the trash. Out   and the ECO bus came pick us up.

Learn to ski at Beaver Creek

On March 7 and  March  8 I skied  in Beaver Creek  with a instructor  named Sabrina. The Transition class  went to Beaver Creek for Learn to Ski. Sabrina and I worked on my pole plants and gliding through turns. We went to The Ranch for one of our hot chocolate breaks and Red Tail Camp for the other. We stopped for lunch at McCoys and the weather was warm and nice so we had lunch outside. My favorite runs were when we skied off of the Bird's of Prey lift and race course. I found out that I can take two lessons a month as an employee. I am going to take my free lessons in April. I love skiing and Learn to Ski!

the Gypsum Rec Center

Today  we went  the Gypsum Recreation Center. We went swimming and I swim some laps in the  pool.  I had fun swimming. After coming back from Gypsum we baked dumped cake. To bake it we used:  pineapple, cherries, the yellow cake mix, butter, and nuts.  I cannot wait to try it!

This weekend I went to Small Champions. I skied with Andrea, Kayla and Megan. We had  fun skiing  togther.  I practiced my pole planting when I skied.  At lunch time, I saw Ivan, Brandon and Cohn at Eagle's Nest. Some of  the runs I skied were Practice Parkway and Ledges.  At the end   of the we rode down the gondola and walked the Lionhead Information Center. On ECO bus home at 2:30.

Today  we travel   on  eco bus.   We left  at Red  High School at 10:30.  We arrived  at the Rec Center   by  11:00  and  that's when the  pool  opened.  At  the Gypsum  Rec Center   you  can walk the track use free weights, climb the rock wall.  There  is a  Basketball  court .  And  many classes for  swimming  and yoga.
